Cross Country teams run at South Dearborn

The Switzerland County Middle School boys and girls cross country teams recently participated in the South Dearborn Invitational.

Both Pacer squads fielded “A” teams and “B” teams in the meet; and all of the runners turned in outstanding efforts.

In the “A” race for the girls, the Lady Pacers finished sixth overall. Batesville won the meet with 41 points; followed by South Dearborn with 48; Greendale with 68; Greensburg with 111; Connersville with 116; and Switzerland County with 119.

Individually, Robin Furnish led Switzerland County with a ninth place finish in a time of 12:48; and Mercedes Parham was 25th in a time of 13:46.

Bri Meli was 26th in a time of 13:53; Cameron Ray was 29th in a time of 14:07; Courtney Pedraza was 30th in a time of 14:09; Adeli Kinne was 45th in a time of 15:15; and Melissa Furnish was 47th in a time of 15:33.

In the “B” race for the girls; McKayli Scudder was fifth overall in a time of 15:36; Audrey Kinne was sixth in a time of 15:37; and McKenna Edwards was 16th in a time of 16:59.

Also: Eve Galbreath was 20th in a time of 17:45; Kayla Hall was 24th in a time of 19:31; Paige Sawyer was 25th in a time of 19:47; and Amanda Chatham was 26th in a time of 19:47.

In the boys “A” race, the Pacers were third overall; as Batesville won with a score of 50; followed by South Dearborn with 53; Switzerland County with 67; and Greensburg with 92.

Three Rivers was fifth with 116; Connersville had 133; and Milan had 195.

Individually, Braden Burk was third overall in a time of 10:36; Dakota Taylor was 12th in a time of 12:00; and Sean Oatman was 13th in a time of 12:01.

Doug Ray was 19th in a time of 12:14; Talen Taylor was 20th in a time of 12:18; Riley Phagan was 22nd in 12:25; and Ryan Sullivan was 24th in a time of 12:37.

In the “B” race, Charlie Reynolds finished seventh overall in a time of 13:57; Casper Stow was ninth in 14:25; Demetrie Liapis was 10th in 14:27; and Michael Scott was 14th in 15:09.

Also: Jacob Schwab was 16th in 15:40; Chance Grubbs was 19th in 17:11; Jacob Schmerr was 21st in 18:33; Riley Pegg was 25th in 19:01; and Hunter Hayes was 27th in 19:39.
