The boys and girls cross country teams from Switzerland County High School participated in the “Big Blue Invitational” last Tuesday night at Jennings County High School.
The girls team finished fourth overall, tallying a team score of 119.
Batesville won the meet with a score of 74; followed by Trinity Lutheran with 85; and Southwestern with 113. After Switzerland County: Scottsburg had 130; Madison had 132; Jennings County finished with 135; Columbus East had 149; and East Central had 163.
Individually for the Lady Pacers, Robin Furnish finished eighth overall in a time of 23:08; while Paige Ridener was 12th in a time of 23:35.
Allie Mathews was 18th in 24:13; Jaclyn Hart was 34th in 25:37; Adeli Kinne was 55th in 30:34; and Samantha Reynolds was 57th in 30:45.

The Pacers finished fifth in the boys race; with Jennings County winning with a score of 60. Columbus East was second with 79; followed by Madison with 94; East Central with 96; Switzerland County with 98; South Ripley with 167; and Batesville with 177.
Also competing were Austin, Rising Sun, Southwestern, Trinity Lutheran, Milan, and Scottsburg.
Braden Burk placed fifth overall individually to lead the Pacers with a time of 18:02; and Anthony Dennis was 16th in a time of 18:46. Quinn Meyer placed 22nd in 19:14; Talen Taylor was 23rd in 19:15; Michael Douglas was 32nd in 19:50; Sean Oatman was 37th in 20:06; and Dakota Taylor was 40th in 20:13.
