The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its “Players of the Week” and “Top Performers” for the week of December 10th-15th, and Switzerland County Lady Pacer Courtney Cole has again been honored as the conference’s “Player of the Week” in girls basketball.
She was honored for her 38 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists over a two game span.
She shared the honor with Kady Alloway of Milan.
Other Lady Pacers honored as “Top Performers” included April Thieman and Amber Smith.
April Thieman was honored for her 10 points and eight rebounds against South Ripley.
Amber Smith was honored for her 11 points, including three three-pointers, and three rebounds versus Southwestern.
Other players honored as “Top Performers” included: Becca Wagner, Janine Huff, and Val Wagner of Jac-Cen-Del; Mariah Berry and Rachel Muessel of Madison Shawe; Devin Brierly, Kendall Withered, and Kelsey Jones of Southwestern; Jaclyn Armbruster of Rising Sun; Jess Wessler of Milan; and Alex Snyder and Erica Ester of South Ripley.

In boys basketball, Pacer Devon Armstrong was honored as a “Top Performer”.
He was honored for his 13 points, including two three-pointers, against South Ripley.
Others honored included: Blake Sutton, Brandon Gehl, and Gerald Hardesty of Jac-Cen-Del; Nick Hall of Madison Shawe; B.J. Sieverding of South Ripley; Tanner Mahoney, and Zack Scrogham of Southwestern; and Myles Hornsby of Rising Sun.
Zeph Vaughn of Rising Sun was honored as the conference’s “Player of the Week”.

– In girls basketball:
Courtney Cole is second in the conference in scoring with an average of 17.7 points per game. She’s also fifth in rebounding with an average of 7.0 per game; fifth in field goal percentage at .505; and ninth in freethrow percentage at .650.
April Thieman is third in the conference in rebounding with an average of 7.4 per game; and she is ninth in the league in field goal percentage at .452.
Morgan Ross is third in the ORVC in freethrow percentage at .750; and is 10th in field goal percentage at .444.
Amber Smith is seventh in the conference in the number of three-pointers made with nine.
– In boys basketball:
Kyle Green leads the ORVC in scoring with an average of 15.2 points per game; is third in the conference in the number of three-pointers made with 11; and is seventh in the conference in freethrow percentage at .770.
Brennan Bragg leads the conference in field goal percentage at .670; is seventh in rebounding with a per game average of 6.5; and is 10th in freethrow percentage at .730.
Mark Sharp leads the conference in assists with 38; Clay Meyer is eighth in rebounding with an average of 6.2 per game; and Devon Armstrong is tied for seventh in the number of three-pointers made with five.
