The town of Vevay and all of Switzerland County are invited to be a part of the annual Spring Cleanups taking place from Friday, April 15th, through Sunday, April 17th.
The popular program has been held for several years, and provides residents with the opportunity to clean up their property and take pride in their neighborhood. This is a free service.
For residents of the town of Vevay, dumpsters will be available on the east edge of town next to the 7-Up Building on Friday, April 15th, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.; on Saturday, April 16th from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.; and on Sunday, April 17th from noon until 6 p.m.
Vevay residents will have to show proof of residency in town in order to participate in the program. The town will not be providing curbside pickup this year.
Dumpsters will be available for county residents at the County Highway Garage on McCreary’s Ridge Road in East Enterprise. Residents will be able to bring items there on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
At both sites there are restrictions on items that can be dropped off. Among items not accepted are: tires, liquids, computers, televisions, hazardous materials, any items containing Freon, paint, and paint cans. Other items not accepted include trash, fuel tanks, propane cylinders, barrels, and fence.
