The Jefferson-Craig Volunteer Fire Department will again hold its annual Halloween Parade and costume judging on Saturday night, October 30th.
Everyone is invited to participate in the parade, which will line up at the Switzerland County Fairgrounds beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday night.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m.; and will travel up Vineyard Street to Main Street; then east on Main Street to Ferry Street. The parade will then turn and go north on Ferry Street, ending at the Jefferson-Craig firehouse.
At the conclusion of the parade, costume judging will by held for all ages at the firehouse, and awards will be given in different categories.
Following the costume judging, the Town of Vevay will hold Trick or Treating from 7-9 p.m. Any resident wishing to participate in trick or treating should leave their front porch light on so that children know that they may stop at that house.
The Town of Patriot will hold Trick or Treating on Sunday, October 31st, from 6-8 p.m. in town, and residents should also turn on their front porch light if they want to be visited by trick or treaters.
In the East Enterprise area, New Liberty Baptist Church is again hosting its “Trunk or Treat” program in the parking lot of Switzerland County Elementary School.
That event will be held on Saturday, October 30th from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; and anyone who would like to participate can be at the parking lot at 5 p.m. to decorate their vehicle and prepare for the arrival of the children.
This event allows the kids to go around to different vehicles without having to get out on the highway.
