The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its listing of “Players of the Week” and “Top Performers” for the time period of September 8th-20th.
There was no listing last week due to the power outages around the area.
– In boys cross country, junior Corey McFarland was honored as the “Runner of the Week”.
He earned the honor by running times of 18:12 at Heritage Christian; 17:39 at East Central; and 17:32 at South Dearborn.
He shared “Runner of the Week” honors with Anthony Nierlich of Rising Sun.
Pacers Clay Meyer and Tray Meyer were also honored as “Top Performers”.
Clay Meyer earned the honor by running times of 17:39 at Heritage Christian and 17:01 at South Dearborn.
Tray Meyer was honored for running times of 18:31 at Heritage Christian; 18:08 at East Central; and 18:00 at South Dearborn.
Other conference runners named as “Top Performers” included: Ben Montgomery and Andy Miller of South Ripley; Adam Hummel and Nate Minks of Rising Sun; and Donnie Lows, Derek Lunsford, and Brandon Wilhoit of Jac-Cen-Del.
– In girls cross country, Lady Pacers Bre Hinman, Amber Meli and Allie Mathews were honored as “Top Performers.”
Bre Hinman was honored for running times of 22:34 at Heritage Christian; 23:15 at East Central; and 22:10 at South Dearborn.
Amber Meli was honored for running times of 23:50 at Heritage Christian; 24:49 at East Central; and 23:11 at South Dearborn.
Allie Mathews was honored for running times of 23:57 at Heritage Christian and 23:33.
Other conference runners honored were: Caitlyn Bowman and Chelsea Bowman of Rising Sun; and Becca Wagner of Jac-Cen-Del.
Samantha White of Jac-Cen-Del was honored as the “Runner of the Week”.
