For the second time in three weeks, Switzerland County cross country runner Clay Meyer has been honored as the “Runner of the Week” in the conference.
He lost out on the honor last week when his brother, Tray Meyer, claimed the honor.
It was just one of the honors handed out by the Ohio River Valley Conference for the time period of September 17th-22nd.
Clay Meyer was honored for his time of 17:52 at the Pumpkin Invitational and his time of 17:46 at the Courier Invitational.
Teammates Corey McFarland and Tray Meyer were honored as “Top Performers” in boys cross country.
Corey McFarland was honored for his time of 18:57 at the Pumpkin Invitational and his time of 18:24 at the Courier Invitational.
Tray Meyer was honored for his time of 18:29 at the Pumpkin Invitational and his time of 18:12 at the Courier Invitational.
– In girls cross country, Lady Pacers Amber Meli, Andrea Brogan, and Beth Abbott were honored as “Top Performers”.
Amber Meli was honored for her time of 22:53 at the Pumpkin Invitational and her time of 23:29 at the Courier Invitational.
Andrea Brogan was honored for her time of 26:00 at the Pumpkin Invitational and her time of 25:00 at the Courier Invitational.
Beth Abbott was honored for her time of 26:07 at the Pumpkin Invitational.
Caitlyn Bowman of Rising Sun was honored as the girls cross country “Runner of the Week”.
– In boys soccer, Pacers Jake Haskell and Nathan Hickman were honored as “Top Performers”.
Jake Haskell was honored for his goal against South Ripley.
Nathan Hickman was honored for his assist and outstanding defense against South Ripley.
Kile Huss of South Ripley was honored as the “Player of the Week”.
