The City of Rising Sun and Ohio County officials will hold a joint meeting November 7, 2017 in the Council Chambers at the City Administration Offices, at 5:30 p.m., to review riverboat funding requests.
Elected officials request a budget plan from groups or organization for the next four years and any commitments for 2017 forward.
The annual meeting allows elected officials to know any current or potential challenges entities deal with. Also requested is a report of recently completed projects and 2017 expenditures.
Information should be submitted to the Clerk Treasurer’s office by October 18th in order to prepare and distribute information prior to the meeting. This information is also used as supporting documentation when riverboat revenues are reviewed by state legislators. The state is always taking a hard look at our riverboat tax distributions.

There will be no decisions made at this meeting. Funding decisions will be made by the City and County at their respective board meetings.
