The Switzerland County High School girls track team scored a total of 22 points last Thursday at the South Dearborn Invitational.
South Dearborn placed first with 115 points; followed by Batesville with 107 points; Lawrenceburg with 55 points; Franklin County with 44 points; and Rising Sun and South Ripley each scored 29 points.
Christina Ahaus earned a first place in shot put with a distance of 32’11” to claim the Lady Pacers’ only blue ribbon.
Maggie Armstrong had a personal best time of :29.9 to earn fifth place in the 200-meter dash; and she also earned second place in discuss with a distance of 78’6″. Katie Hall was fifth in the discus with a distance of 72’10”; and Brittany Hall finished sixth in the high jump with a height of 4’10”.
“There was a lot of good competition at the meet; but our girls did a great job, especially in field events,” Coach Adam Dennis said.
