Pacers continue rough start with three losses during the past week

It hasn’t been a good start to the season for the Switzerland County Pacer varsity baseball team, and the squad continued its rough start with three losses during the past week.

Last Tuesday Switzerland County fell to Owen County by a score of 6-2.

Baseball team picks up season’s first win

The Switzerland County varsity baseball team picked up its first win of the season last Friday night with a victory over Jac-Cen-Del, 5-4.

Cody Peters got the win on the mound, as he pitched 4 2/3-innings before giving way to Chancey May, who finished out the game for the save.

Lady Pacer softball team stays undefeated with two wins

Coach Steven Konkle’s Switzerland County Lady Pacer varsity softball team is off to a fast start this season, winning three games during the past week to keep its record unblemished.

Last Wednesday, April 6th, the Lady Pacers defeated South Dearborn for the first time in memory by a score of 5-0.

Kodi Driver’s grand slam keys Lady Pacers to season-opening victory over Lawrenceburg

Junior Kodi Driver keyed the Switzerland County Lady Pacer varsity softball team both offensively and defensively Friday night in the season opener versus Lawrenceburg — striking out six as the winning pitcher and hitting a grand slam home run at the plate.

It all added up to an 11-1 victory for Switzerland County.

Pacer season comes to an end with sectional loss to Southwestern

Switzerland County and Southwestern were certainly not strangers when the two clubs met on the Lawrenceburg High School basketball floor Friday night for the semifinal game of the Sectional — but when the buzzer sounded four quarters later, the outcome had changed, as the Rebels defeated the Pacers 58-50 to advance to the finals against North Decatur.

Coach David Todd’s Switzerland County Pacers will start their trek toward a Sectional championship tomorrow (Friday) night against Southwestern.
