Dear Editor:

I wish to add to Mr. Rush’s view in last week’s paper. Mr. Hollingsworth’s letter was so not the truth. For the greatest economic heights that he (Bill Clinton) gave us he then gave us the largest tax increase in history. It passed when the Vice President Al Gore cast the tying vote; that was in 1993.

Awesome event

To the Editor:

On April 9th I had the opportunity of working at the Switzerland County High School After Prom. I would just like to let the community know what an awesome event this is for our high school students.

Great addition

To the Editor:

One of the most exciting things to happen around town lately has to be the opening of The Chord Coffeehouse.

In reply to Mr. Hollingsworth’s Letter to the Editor replying to Mrs. Fisher’s letter. I think he is drinking too much Democrat Kool-Aid. I’ll go to his points.

To the Editor:

In regard to Mrs. Fisher’s comments about Democrats ruining our country: FDR steered the country out of the Depression and led our country into World War II, LBJ put into effect more civil rights legislation than any other president, Bill Clinton led the country to its greatest economic heights.

Child to work

Dear Editor:

Take Your Child to Work Day is Wednesday, April 26th. While this annual event provides an opportunity for some participating business’ employees to bring their child to work, working parents must count on others to provide quality care for their children throughout the rest of the year.

Child abuse

Dear Editor:

As we celebrate the prevention of child abuse and neglect this month of April, I would like to take the opportunity to thank United Fund of Switzerland County for their support and grant to our organization, Prevent Child Abuse Council of Switzerland County.

Know the facts

To the Editor:

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1. That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary.

License plates

To the Editor:

Part of the work and service of the Switzerland County Historical Society is to answer a variety of requests we receive through the mail.

Horse power

To the Editor:

I would like to thank a previous letter writer for pointing out the fact that speed kills. God bless you for thinking of others first. I know you are really trying to point out the fact that you and countless other like minded people wish to show no consideration for others, let alone respect.
