Switzerland County Tourism will host two carnival games for kids during the “Countdown to the Festival” Vevay’s First Friday.
The event takes place tomorrow (Friday, August 7th) from 6-9 p.m. at the Visitors Center located at 128 West Main Street in Vevay. Free popcorn and balloons will be available while supplies last.
In conjunction with Vevay Main Street’s carnival theme, the Visitors Center will have free activities, including a bean bag toss, with prizes based on the bucket number containing winning tosses. Everyone wins in the rubber ducky pool with prizes based on the numbers notated on the ducks. Prizes are available while supplies last.
Complimentary samples of espresso, cappuccino, mocha, lattes, and more will be available from 5-9 p.m. during a “soft opening” of the new coffee shop located inside the Visitors Center.
Vevay’s First Friday include late night dining and shopping, live entertainment, art openings, store specials, and free carriage rides around downtown Vevay. (Weather permitting.) Live entertainment will be provided by musicians Jamie Royce, Claude Reece, and Dan Bixler. A balloon artist and other entertainers will also be performing.
