Calleigh Powell, Dalton Faddis are the 2007 Little Miss and Little Mister of the fair

Calleigh Dawnn Powell and Dalton James Faddis were crowned as the Little Miss and Little Mister of the 2007 Switzerland County 4-H Fair on Monday night. Calleigh Powell was chosen from a field of nine contestants; while Dalton Faddis emerged from a field of five hopefuls.

The event was emceed by last year’s Fair Queen, Katie Wright; who was assisted by this year’s Queen Sydney Pike and court members Emilee Waldron and Rebecca Romans.

Little Miss Calleigh Powell is the daughter of Larry and Dawn Powell of near Bennington. She is six years old, and enjoys reading, watching television, and playing outside. Her favorite food is brownies; and her favorite television show is the “Suite Life of Zach and Cody”. She has pet rabbits.

Little Mister Dalton Faddis is six years old and is the son of Rodney and Heather Faddis of near Vevay. He enjoys playing dodgeball, arts and crafts, and helping his car put his car together. His favorite televisions shows are “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy”; and his favorite foods are potato chip sandwiches and noodles. He has a pet dog named “Sport”, a cat named “Flee”; and some fish.

The first runner up for Little Miss was Taylor Lyon. She is five years old, and is the daughter of Chad and Angel Lyon of Markland Pike. She enjoys riding her four-wheeler; playing outside; and swimming; and she enjoys eating at McDonalds. She likes to watch “Dora the Explorer” and “Sponge Bob, Square Pants” on television; and she has pet frogs.

Justin Day was the first runner up for Little Mister. He is six years old, and is the daughter of John and Gloria Day of near Vevay. He likes to ride his four-wheeler and farming; and his favorite food is beef jerky. His favorite television show is the “Dukes of Hazzard”; and he has three Great Pyrenees dogs: Thunder, Star, and Mac.

Olivia Dornbusch was the second runner up in the Little Miss competition. She is seven years old, and is the daughter of Robyn Jenkins of Vevay. She enjoys riding her scooter; going to the park; and hanging out with her friends. She has a pet Doberman pincher named Cloe; and her favorite food is ravioli. Her favorite television show is “Hannah Montana”.

The second runner up for Little Mister was Andrew Douglas Romans. He is five years old, and is the son of Billy and Nancy Romans of Pendleton Run. He likes to paddleboat; sing; and grow things in his own garden; and his favorite foods are sausage and fried okra. He has a cat named Rascal and a goat named Viola.

Other contestants in the Little Miss competition were: Sydni Anita Chase; Hailey Dornbusch; Hailey Gerster; Grace McAllister; Lauren Rose; and Ashley Day.

Other contestants in the Little Mister competition were: Morgan Gammons and Zachary Bowling.
