Brooke Todd honored with inclusion in All Star game

Switzerland County senior Brooke Todd has earned many accolades both on and off of the basketball court, but the senior guard has just been informed that she will cap her high school career with inclusion in one of the most prestigious all start games in the state.

Todd has been selected as one of just 24 girls to play in the ‘Hoosier Reunion All Star Classic’, which will be played in Knightstown, Indiana in the Historic Hoosier Gym, which was the movie home of the movie ‘Hoosiers’.

This is the 11th annual classic, which invites the top players in the state. Of the 24 girls invited to play in the game, which will be held on Friday night, June 3rd, 15 of them will go on to college to play at the Division I level.

The ‘Terhune Tigers’ will feature Jackie Young of Princeton High School, who was just named as Indiana’s Miss Basketball and has also been honored as the 2016 National Naismith Prep Player-of-the-Year.

Also playing on the Terhune team are: Candace Danz of Indian Creek High School (Marian); Vironnica Drake of Marion High School (Grace); Daesiah Ely of Roncalli High School (IUPUI); Tyasha Harris of Heritage Christian High School (South Carolina); Macie Lively of Tipton High School (Evansville); Lauren Rau of Center Grove High School (Lipscomb); Myka Rother of Dephi High School (Vincennes); Jasmine Shelt of Lawrence Central High School (Kentucky Wesleyan); Emily Sullivan of Evansville Memorial High School (North Carolina); Laura Thomas of New Castle High School (Northern Kentucky); and Brooke Treadway of Northwestern High School (Grace).

Following the girls game that night, there will also be a boys all star game, highlighted by the participation of 2016 Indiana Mr. Basketball Kyle Guy of Lawrence Central (Virginia).

He will be joined by seven other boys who are 2016 Indiana All-Stars.
