Brennan Bragg is ‘Player of the Week’


The Ohio River Valley Conference has announced its list of “Top Performers” and “Players of the Week” in girls and boys basketball for the time period of December 15th through January 3rd, and Pacer Brennan Bragg has been honored as the “Player of the Week”.

He earned the honor by scoring 57 points, and pulling down 36 rebounds in the Union County Holiday Tournament held over the weekend.

He shared the “Player of the Week” honor with Matt Gehl of Jac-Cen-Del.

Switzerland County’s Kyle Green and Travis Tackett were also honored as “Top Performers”.

Kyle Green was honored for scoring 31 points and getting four rebounds in the championship game of the Union County Tournament.

Travis Tackett was honored for scoring 35 points and contributing 15 rebounds in two games.

Other players honored as “Top Performers” include: Blake Sutton of Jac-Cen-Del; Greyson Miller and Alex Walter of Milan; Austin Ames of Southwestern; Thomas Welch and Andy Miller of South Ripley; and Nico Mingione and Brandon Scroggins of Madison Shawe.


In girls basketball, Switzerland County’s Kristen Perry, Jenna Daugherty, and Maggie Armstrong were honored as “Top Performers.”

Kristen Perry earned the honor by scoring 31 points and pulling down nine rebounds in two games.

Jenna Daugherty earned the honor by scoring 14 points and pulling down 18 rebounds in two games.

Maggie Armstrong earned the honor by scoring 30 points, contributing 12 rebounds, and providing eight assists in two games.

Other players earning “Top Performer” recognition included: Becca Wagner, Val Wagner and Alyssa Hammond of Jac-Cen-Del; Jordan Vinup and Jessica Foster of South Ripley; Jess Wessler, Bec Haugh, and Kelly Stutler of Milan; and Ebony Inskeep and Katherine Bear of Madison Shawe.

Kayla Ferriera of Rising Sun and Erica Ester of South Ripley were honored as the conference’s “Players of the Week.”
