The Switzerland County High School Business Professionals of America club is doing a fundraiser and it would like to get the community involved.
It is called ‘Cell Phones for Soldiers’.
‘Cell Phones for Soldiers’ is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active duty military members and veterans. Many people get new cell phones for Christmas and they are asking that you donate your old ones. They need to be less than five years old, and you can also donate chargers and other accessories.
Donated phones are sold to recycling partner, ReCellular. The money received from recycling cell phones is used to purchase calling cards and other communication tools for the U.S. military.
Anyone wanting to participate can bring cell phones to the high school. Donations need to arrive by Friday, January 25th.
