Three Switzerland County High School students and three Switzerland County Middle School students from the Business Professionals of America organization placed high enough in their events at the recent State Competition to advance to the Nationals.
The National competition will be held in Boston, Massachusetts from May 5th-9th.
High School students Bre Braun, Hunter Zorn, and Calleigh Powell will be competing at the National competition; and will also be joined by two other Switzerland County students will be attending the conference. Kayla Jordan will be attending based on service points; while Courtney Gullion will be attending for being a State Officer.
Here’s how these outstanding students advanced:
– Bre Braun will be competing in Advanced Spreadsheet after earning first place at the State level. This is her fourth year in BPA, and she has advanced to the Nationals twice.
– Hunter Zorn will be competing Integrated Office after finishing fourth at the State competition, This is his fourth year in BPA, and also his second time advancing to the Nationals.
– Calleigh Powell will be competing in Prepared Speech, where she finished fifth at the State level. This is her second year in BPA, and also her second time to advance to the Nationals.

There are also three students from Switzerland County Middle School who have earned the right to compete at the National Competition:
– Isabella Robinson earned first place in Financial Literacy at the State competition, which qualified her to go to the Nationals. This is her first year in BPA, and her first year to advance to the Nationals.
– Emma Sullivan finished in fourth in Keyboarding Production at the State competition. This is her second year in BPA, and her first time at Nationals.
– Trey Gray was sixth in Prepared Speech at the State level, which earned him a trip to the Nationals for the first time. This is his second year in BPA.
