The Switzerland County varsity boys soccer team lost three games this past week – one at Rising Sun by a score of 6-2; one at Shawe by a score of 6-1; and a close one at home against South Ripley 3-2.
In the first two contests, the Pacer goals were scored by Kris Hetrick, Chris Tobias, and Devon Armstrong. Ian Sisson and Alec McAlpine both earned assists.
“The team has been battling through a few early injuries and I expect that the team will be much stronger as the season progresses,” coach Tony Spoores said. “We played better as a team, but we need to work on the little things such as corner kicks and throw-ins.”
On Tuesday, August 29th, Pacers Ian Sisson and Alec McAlpine each scored a goal against the South Ripley team. Devon Armstrong assisted both scores. Goalie Aaron Moore recorded 15 saves.
