The winner of the South Ripley Sectional will then advance to Regional play, which will take place at Connersville on Saturday, March 13th.

The South Ripley Sectional winner will play the winner of the Indianapolis Washington Sectional in the day’s first game; with the winner of the Alexandria Sectional playing the winner of the Hagerstown Sectional in the second game of the afternoon. Those winners will then play Saturday night for the Regional title.

Times for the Regional games have not yet been set.

The Indianapolis Washington Sectional features a balanced eight-team tourney, with only Indianapolis Washington (10-6) currently sporting a winning record.

Other teams include: Heritage Christian (8-11); Indianapolis Herron (2-14); Indian Creek (6-12); Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter (5-12); Indianapolis Scecina (9-10); Park Tudor (9-10); and Triton Central (8-10).

The Alexandria Sectional is highlighted by a couple of powerhouses, headlined by Winchester (17-4) and Alexandria (15-5). Also in that Sectional are: Elwood (3-17); Frankton (5-15); Lapel (11-9); Muncie Burris (8-9); and Wapahani (12-6).

In that draw, Winchester and Alexandria are scheduled to meet up in Friday night’s second game.

At Hagerstown, Centerville (12-5) sports the best record; but Eastern Hancock (12-7) and Knightstown (12-7) are also in the hunt.

Other teams in Hagerstown include: Cambridge City Lincoln (6-12); Hagerstown (2-14); Northeastern (7-11); Shenandoah (9-10); and Union County (10-9).

Centerville and Knightstown have a first round showdown in Wednesday’s first game; and the winner will likely play Eastern Hancock in the second game on Friday.

Connersville could be a good omen for Switzerland County, as that’s the gym that the Pacers played the Regional at after winning the Sectional in 1975.

The Connersville Regional winner with then advance to the Semistate, which will be played on Saturday, March 20th at either Bedford of Seymour.

The State Finals are set for Saturday, March 27th, at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
