The Switzerland County High School boys varsity track team finished fourth overall in the Rising Sun Invitational last Thursday night.
The Pacers were led by Clint Swanson, who claimed two first places by winning the 100-meter dash in personal best time of :11.3; and the 200-meter dash in a personal best time of :23.1. He also finished fifth in the high jump.
Alex Curran earned the only other first place for Switzerland County, winning the high jump with a height of 6’2″, which tied his personal best.
The 400-meter relay team of Jesse Bailey, Tyler Maxey, Zack Rodgers, and Clint Swanson finished second; while Quinn Meyer tied his personal best to finish in third in the long jump.
Fourth place points were earned by Alex Curran in the long jump; Alex Galbreath in the discus; and the 3,200-meter relay team of T.J. White, Mikhail Cole, Logan Pike, and Alex Galbreath.
Fifth places were earned by Alex Galbreath in the 800-meter run; Dakota Taylor in the 3,200-meter run and the 110-meter high hurdles; Bradley Cox in the shot put; Zack Rodgers in the discus; and the 1,600-meter relay team of Quinn Meyer, Tyler Maxey, Zach O’Neal, and Logan Pike.
Finishing sixth were Zack Rodgers in the 100-meter dash; Quinn Meyer in the 1,600-meter run; and T.J. White in the 3,200-meter run.
The team will compete in the conference meet tonight (Thursday) at Madison High School.
