Led by junior Clay Meyer, the Switzerland County boys varsity cross country team earned its second title in the past week on Tuesday when the Pacers captured the Christian Academy Invitational at Graceland.
The Pacers recorded a team score of 58 to outdistance Homeschoolers with 76; Henryville with 113; Borden with 118; Eastern High with 135; Lanesville with 137; South Central with 174; Trinity Lutheran with 179; Eastern High B with 194; and New Washington with 208
Clay Meyer continued his dominance by winning the meet in a time of 18:16; and he was followed to the line by teammates Tray Meyer, who was second in a time of 18:35; and Corey McFarland, who was third in a time of 18:37. Josh Hon made it four Pacers in the top 10, as he came home ninth in a time of 19:14.
Tanner Ross was 43rd in a time of 21:28; Zach O’Neal was 51st in a time of 21:42; and Blake Whitham was 66th in a time of 23:09.

The girls team did not have enough runners to record a team score, but Coach Mark Boggs said that the Lady Pacers still turned in some outstanding individual efforts.
Amber Meli was sixth overall in a time of 23:05; Andrea Brogan was 13th in a time of 25:28; Shana Todd was 14th in a time of 25:33; and Beth Abbott was 15th in a time of 25:45.
