Boy Scout Troop #700 holds ‘Court of Honor’ ceremony

Members of Boy Scout Troop #700 of Patriot gathered last Monday night for their quarterly ‘Court of Honor’. Members of the troop were recognized with their merit badges, rank advancements and other accomplishments.

The troop is comprised of 12 scouts from Switzerland and Ohio counties. Of significance was Scout Sean Oatman, who has completed all of his requirements to earn his Eagle Scout rank.

The presentation ceremony for his Eagle rank will take place in a special Eagle Court of Honor which will be held on Friday, January 31st at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the Patriot Baptist Church, with a meal to follow at the Patriot Town Hall.

All former scouts, as well as members of the community, are invited to attend. The troop is chartered by Patriot Baptist Church, and meets at 7 p.m. every Monday night.
