‘Boots, Brushes, & Wine’ set for May 9th


Vevay Main Street will fill the Ogle Haus Inn as the organization presents its annual fundraiser, “Boots, Brushes & Wine: A Veterans Art Show”.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 9th, from 2-11 p.m. The event will feature an art exhibit by military veterans; three regional wineries; area food vendors; entertainment; and a live art auction and silent auction.

The lobby, dining room, stein room, patio and deck of the Ogle Haus will be filled with art, people and music for this year’s event – making it certain to be another fun filled day.

Wine tastings will be presented by The Ridge Winery of Vevay; Ertel Cellars Winery of Batesville; and Chateau Pomije from Guilford. The wine tasting will begin at 2 p.m.

Live entertainment will begin at 2 p.m. with Brittany Gillstrap, Rick Marino and R & R Music.

The fundraiser will also feature a vast array of food compliments of Moasis Grill and Belterra Casino Resort and Spa beginning at 5 p.m.

Ticket holders will also be able to participate in a live art auction by local artists and artists from surrounding areas beginning at 7 p.m.


Tickets for the event, which include the food, wine tasting, entertainment and a chance to purchase an original piece of art, are $25 per person. Advance sale tickets are available at the Vevay Main Street office at 128 West Main Street (812) 427-9406; the Switzerland County Welcome Center; and the Community Art Center.

Those attending must be at least 21 years of age to enter certain areas of the event.
