Sending my heartfelt sympathy to the family of Virginia Jester. I did not get to attend her services due to a medical problem but want the family to know I was thinking of them.

  Happy birthday to Julie Brown. She got a big surprise when Carla Van Norstran and a group of her former classmates all met at a cabin in Brown County to celebrate her special day.

  A lot of birthdays going on this week. Little Cecelia Shelton celebrated her sixth birthday and her grandparents Jim and Tina Wingate came and got me and took me to her birthday party. She is a very special little girl to me.

  Happy birthday to Rosemary this week. We celebrated her birthday on Sunday evening with her. We had homemade ice cream and cake. Those who attended were: Glen, Kassie, Kole and Kobe, Jeremy and Sarah Robinson and daughter Ashley, Carla Van Norstran, Elijah and Brittany, Bob and Betty.

  Jim and Johanna Welch called on Marlyn Reed, Jean Morton and Bill Christman at Swiss Villa last week.

  Sue Persell had some tests on her heart this past week and everything checked out alright. Sue is the former Sue McMakin and lives at Milan and her and her husband Rufus attend the Bennington United Methodist Church.

  Get well wishes to Doc Brown whom I hear is having a serious health problem.

  Daisy Swanson had a very bad two weeks when she became ill with the flu and then it about turned into pneumonia. She was able to attend church on Sunday after being absent for two weeks.

  Melissa McClain is working at Maggie’s store in Cross Plains and is doing a great job.

  Hello to my friend Joan who lives in Indianapolis area and gets the Vevay paper.

  The cross on the bulletin at church here is beautiful thanks to Jim Browning Jr.

  Sympathy to Marietta Crandell on the loss of her son, Jamie Stephenson.

  The family of Beulah Morris celebrated her 93rd birthday this past weekend. Those who attended were: Judy and Gary Rayls, Karrie Rayls, Tammy Henry, Gerald McClure and Michelle Austin.
