Baseball team earns win over South Ripley

Casper Stow pitched a complete game last Wednesday night, May 6th, and the Switzerland County varsity baseball team defeated South Ripley by a score of 8-3.

Stow allowed just four hits and struck out two; and just one of the Raider runs was earned.

The Pacers took control of the game late, with the Raiders scoring two runs in the fourth inning before Switzerland County responded with two in the bottom of the fifth to tie the contest.

South Ripley responded with a single run in the top of the sixth; but the bottom of the sixth was all Pacers, as Switzerland County scored six runs.

Switzerland County’s offense was led by Ryan Brubaker, who was 3-for-4 with an RBI; while Justin Johnson was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI. Matt Roland was 2-for-3 a run scored and two RBI; and Dalton Roark was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Stow was 1-for-3 with a run scored; Owen Wagner was 1-for-3; and Zack Whitaker, Douglas Ray, and Keegan Ray each scored a run.
