Bascoms help raise
over $100,000 for
Children’s Advocacy
The 2017 Mardi Gras Ball to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southeastern Indiana was a huge success! This year’s event was sponsored by Celeste Calvitto, owner of CalComm Indiana. Over $100,000 was raised to help provide services to victims of child abuse in the region. The successful evening was due to many generous sponsors, volunteers, silent auction donors, participants and especially the King and Queen candidates.
The King and Queen candidates represented eight counties in Southeastern Indiana. Through their fundraising efforts alone, they raised over $51,000.00. Marybeth Boone & Rodney Nay from Jefferson County raised $21,904.00 and were crowned King and Queen. All the candidates did an excellent job of raising awareness while raising money. The other candidates were: Stacey and Mike Perleberg representing Dearborn County, Connie and Bill Meyerrose from Decatur County, Jalena and Brian Belding representing Jennings County, Gina and Brent Bascom for Ohio County, Jodi and Jason Comer for Ripley County, AmyMarie Travis and Bryant Lucas for Jackson County along with Amanda and Nick Kitts for Switzerland County.
This wonderful event could not have been done without the generous support of our sponsors which include Interim Health Care of S.E. Indiana, Friendship State Bank and Insurance, Haag Ford, United Community Bank, Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, Vicki Rosemeyer, Ivy Tech Community College, Batesville Tool and Die, Maxwell Construction, Barnes & Thornburg, Lauber and Will Insurance and The Sign Store.
Mark your calendars for next year for a great cause and a fun time, February 10, 2018. Celeste Calvitto owner of CalComm Indiana has committed to sponsoring next year’s 2018 Mardi Gras Ball.
