To the Editor:
On April 9th I had the opportunity of working at the Switzerland County High School After Prom. I would just like to let the community know what an awesome event this is for our high school students.
It provides a safe environment for the students and they have an opportunity to win some great prizes while having lots of fun. I believe the kids really enjoyed themselves.
I would like to say that I am very proud of the 170 students who attended and compliment them for their behavior and great attitudes. We truly have a great bunch of high school students in Switzerland County.
To most adults the thought of staying up all night and being locked in a high school gym with 170 high school students would not be their idea of fun, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It is a very rewarding experience to know that you are doing something great for these kids.
A big thank you to all those parents who volunteered their time for the after prom this year, without your help it could not be done.
