Annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza set for April 4th


The annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza event will be held this year on Saturday, April 4th. There are a wide variety of activities going on throughout the day.

The morning gets started with a performance by the Frisch Marionettes at the Hoosier Theater at 10 a.m.

At 11 a.m., the Tri-Kappa Sorority will be holding a cake walk fundraiser; and there will be special appearances by Andy the Ambulance; ‘Snappy’ Pizza Guy; and McGruff the Crime Dog.

Beginning at 11:30 a.m. that morning; special prizes will be given for the Most Egg-stravagant girl’s Easter Bonnet; the Most Egg-stravagant boy’s Easter Hat; and the Most Egg-stravagant adult’s Easter Bonnet or Easter Hat.

The Easter Bunny will be arriving at approximately 11:45 a.m. in the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park; and the annual Easter Egg Hunt will begin in the park at noon.

Age groups for the Easter Egg hunt include: ages 2-4; ages 5-7; and ages 8-10.

In the event of bad weather, or if recent flooding isn’t contained, the Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Switzerland County YMCA.
