The outstanding high school cross country career of Lady Pacer Leah Anders came to a close on Saturday when she participated as an individual in the IHSAA Cross County Semistate, held at Brown County.
Anders has been one of the top runners in the region all four years of her high school career, advancing to the semistate each season and also participating in the state finals meet.
On Saturday, battling cool conditions, Anders finished 68th overall with a time of 20:39.5. Edgewood High School runner Annalyssa Crain won the individual semistate title with an impressive time of 17:59.3.
In addition to her athletic prowess, Anders also succeeds in the classroom, once again earning Academic All State Honors.
