Carolyn and Ruth Lohide attended the Madison District Council Meeting held on February 13th at Jennings County Library in North Vernon.

Congratulations to all S.C.H.S. seniors who were honored on Friday night at the basketball game. In attendance to honor Kali Carfield were her parents, Michelle and Joe Carfield, grandparents, Ginny and Donnie Leap, Aunt Marci Leap, sisters, Kylie and Courtney, and great aunt, Ruth Lohide.
RT2 has been completed for February. Volunteers were: Debbie Allen, E. J. Pompa, Brenda Briggs, Patty Chase, Betty Mishler, Carolyn Lohide, Mary Jane Kincaid, Myra Boles, Connie Hollander, and Ruth Lohide.
Lenten services began Sunday, February 26th, hosted by Center Square Baptist. There were 92 in attendance. Special music by Rogers Family, Sherry West, Laura Gibson and Rick Wolf was enjoyed by all. A dynamic message was delivered by John Erickson. Union Baptist will be host for the March 4th service. Come join us.
The group was saddened to hear of Robert Crandell’s death that evening.
John Keeton and Ruth Lohide of Switzerland County Farm Bureau accompanied the FFA Chapter to Indianapolis on Tuesday, February 21st, for a Statehouse visit. FFA students who attended were: Olivia Hewitt, Vicki Abbott, Chelsea Duvall, Nila Johnson, Ryan Sullivan and Mr. McKim, Advisor. Brad Ponsler, Regional Manager, District 10 also attended. Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman, took time from her busy schedule to pose for a picture with the FFA students. Sen. Smith also met with the group and presented them with a state flag which had flown over the Statehouse on January 13th, 2012.
Jan Uhlmansiek, Dearborn County Woman Leader and Ruth Lohide, Switzerland County Woman Leader, attended the F. B. to D. C. leadership training meeting in Indianapolis on Saturday, February 25th. The group will meet again on June 2nd prior to the D.C. trip in September.
