An accident on State Road 56 near Henschen Road in Ohio County near the Dearborn County line on Tuesday night has resulted in the death of a Switzerland County woman.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s office and the Indiana State Police initially investigated the accident, with the State Police now leading the investigation. The accident occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. Tuesday night.
Switzerland County resident Lauren Rose, a 2018 graduate of Switzerland County High School, was killed in the accident.
