“It was the best of times…” for the Switzerland County High School Academic teams – even when they thought: “It was the worst of times…” in Class III competition held at Batesville on Tuesday night, April 18th.
First place ribbons were earned by four Switzerland County squads: science, social studies, English, and interdisciplinary. The Switzerland County math team placed second, and the fine arts team placed third.
This is the 31st Annual Super Bowl competition; and the 2017 theme is ‘The French Revolution’.
Ribbons were distributed to the team members and coaches, as the teams awaited the results of how each teams compares to other Class III teams around the state. The top six to eight scores (including tie-breakers) are selected to advance to state competition in May.
The interdisciplinary team, composed of members from the other teams, just missed the state cut-off score.
