The eighth grade girls basketball team from Switzerland County Middle School picked up three more wins during the week to run their record to a perfect 11-0.
– The Lady Pacers had a hard-fought game in defeating Milan by a score of 31-21.
Balanced scoring carried the game, as Makenzie Mathews led the squad with eight points; Kelsi Konkle had six; Baylie Scudder had five; Brooke Todd had four; Megan Chitwood had four; and Courtney Pedraza and Regan Chitwood each finished with two.
– That was followed by a 32-14 victory over Greendale.
Makenzie Mathews was again the leading scorer, finishing in double figures with 10 points; while Brooke Todd and Kelsi Konkle each had seven points. Courtney Pedraza had six points; and Megan Chitwood chipped in two.
– Next came a victory over Southwestern by a score of 38-9.
Makenzie Mathews had another outstanding game, leading the team with eight points; and Megan Chitwood also finished with eight points.
Courtney Pedraza had six points in the win; Kayla Jordan and Bre Braun each had four points; and Brooke Todd, Kelsi Konkle, Baylie Scudder, and Brittany Ervin all contributed two points each.
