8th grade girls stand at 5-7 on the year

The Switzerland County eighth grade girls basketball team currently holds an overall record of 5-7 including four recent games.

Here’s a look at how the team is doing:

– The Lady Pacers fell to Southwestern by a score of 43-11. Taylar Jordan was the leading scorer for Switzerland County with seven points; while Alysa Parr had two points and Bailey Minch added two points.

– Switzerland County then played Greendale, losing by a final score of 41-20 in the Rivertown Classic. Whitley Schirmer and Brooke Minch each had six points in the game to lead their squad; while Taylar Jordan, Mallory Phagan, and Alysa Parr each had two points. Veronika Perry and Cameron Ray each added one point.

– In their next game, Switzerland County lost to Madison Shawe by a score of 38-23. McKayli Scudder was the game’s leading scorer with nine points; with Taylar Jordan adding six points. Veronika Perry, Alysa Parr, Brooke Minch, and Bailey Minch each contributed two points.

- The Lady Pacers picked up a win in their next game against Rising Sun by a 25-24 score. McKayli Scudder again led Switzerland County with nine points; with Taylar Jordan and Whitley Schirmer each adding eight points.
