The seventh grade boys basketball team from Switzerland County Middle School finished second overall in Saturday’s Rivertown Classic Tournament.
In the opening round, the Pacers defeated Greendale by a score of 39-29.
Tyler Queen led the Pacers with 15 points; while Trevor Smith was also in double figures with 10. Celby Kinney had nine points; Tanner Gray and Averi Fultz had two points each; and Alex Galbreath added one point.
In the championship game, Tyler Queen exploded for 25 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Pacers were edged by South Dearborn, 40-38.
Switzerland County also got scoring from Tanner Gray and Averi Fultz with four each; Trevor Smith added three; and Celby Kinney had two.

Last Thursday night, the seventh grade team defeated Rising Sun by a final score of 49-26.
Tyler Queen led the Pacers with 13 points; while Trevor Smith added nine and Celby Kinney and Averi Fultz had eight each.
Alex Galbreath and Harlan Scudder each finished with four; Tanner Gray had two; and Nelson Hughes contributed one point.
