  A Vevay boy is recuperating after behind struck by a car last Friday.

  On Friday night, April 20th at approximately 6:20 p.m., the Vevay Police Department responded to a one vehicle injury accident in the 500 block of Pearl Street. A six-year old male juvenile was struck while riding his big wheel and became entrapped underneath the vehicle.

  The boy was identified as Hayden Griswold, a kindergarten student at Switzerland County Elementary School.

  A post on Facebook by his father dated Sunday, April 22nd, said that Hayden suffered road rash and two cracks in his skull, but no other broken bones.

  Due to his injuries. Hayden was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati. Another social media post said that he was to be released on Tuesday, April 24th.

  The Vevay Police Department was assisted on scene by members of the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office, Switzerland County Emergency Response, and Jeff-Craig Fire Department.

  The accident is under investigation by the Vevay Police Department.
