The 2016 Switzerland County Little Miss and Mister Contest will be held on Monday, July 11th, at 6 p.m. in the Community Building, located at the main entrance of the Switzerland County 4-H Fairgrounds.
Contestants must be 5 years of age on July 11th and cannot be 8 years of age on July 12th. Each contestant will wear theme wear. This year’s theme is “Career Wear,” where the contestants are asked to wear an outfit that resembles what they want to be “when they grow up.”
Organizers stress that no make-up will be tolerated – keep it simple, no “Toddlers & Tiaras;” the judges just want to see the child’s true beauty and self.
The contest itself will take place at 6 p.m. in the Community Building, however the interview portion will begin at 5 p.m. Everyone should keep in mind that the organizers want this to be a fun event for all – and also that parents will not be allowed beyond a certain point after 5 p.m. on contest night.
The children will have activities to keep them busy during the interview process.
There will be a brief meeting and practice on Sunday, July 10th, at 5 p.m. in the Community Building for all contestants.
Applications may be picked up in the Extension Office. Applications must be submitted with $15 entry fee and a current photo (no bigger than a 5×7, and will be returned after the contest) to the Extension Office no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016.
