The Switzerland County High School girls varsity track team saw its 3,200-meter relay team establish a new school record at Thursday night’s Vevay Newspapers Invitational.
The team of Allie Mathews, Bre Hinman, Paige Ridener, and Emily White set the new school mark with a time of 10:45.4, which broke the previous record by nearly 10-seconds.
Overall, the Lady Pacers finished second in the eight-team invitational.
Southwestern won with a team score of 140; followed by Switzerland County with 118; Jac-Cen-Del with 68; Milan with 53; Rising Sun with 38; Lawrenceburg with 24; Madison Shawe with 7; and Carroll County with 5.
Individually:
– Megan Dasis earned first place in the long jump with a distance of 15’1″. She also placed second 100-meter dash with a season-best time.
– Susie Reyes was first overall in the discus with a distance of 89’9″; and she was also third in the shot put.
– Emily White ran a personal best time to finish second in the 800-meter run.
– Paige Ridener finished second in the 3,200-meter run.
– Eve Galbreath finished second in the 100-meter hurdles; and she was also second in the shot put with a personal best distance. She was also sixth in the 100-meter dash.
– Bre Ricketts was second in the high jump; fifth in the 100-meter hurdles; and fifth in the long jump.
– Bre Hinman was fourth in the 1,600-meter run.
– Paige Sawyer was fourth in the 200-meter dash and fifth in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles.
– Adeli Kinne was fifth in the 200-meter dash.
- Allie Mathews was sixth in the 400-meter dash.
- The 400-meter relay team of Emily White, Alexis Carfield, Bre Ricketts, and Megan Dasis was second overall.
– The 1,600-meter relay team of Allie Mathews, Bre Hinman, Megan Dasis, and Emily White was second overall.
