Fighting raindrops and warm temperatures, the 2015 Switzerland County is now in full swing, and is headed towards its wrap up this Saturday night with the annual livestock auction.
There’s still plenty of time to take in many of the events, from livestock shows at the arena; a demonstration of the popular shooting sports program; and a special performance by ‘Silly Safari’ featuring live, exotic animals.
Also underway is the inflatable midway for kids to play on and enjoy. The cost is $5 per night; or parents may purchase a bracelet for $15 that will allow a child to play every night.
Mr. and Mrs. Switzerland County will crowned today (Thursday) during the beef show.
Also today (Thursday) everyone may enter items in the Switzerland County Homemakers Open Class Exhibits from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Judging will begin at 1 p.m.; with the exhibits being open to the public from 5-9 p.m. tonight.
Open class exhibits will also be open from 5-9 p.m. tomorrow night; and from noon until 9 p.m. on Saturday.
