The funds are still coming in, but the American Cancer Society’s preliminary totals are showing a very successful 2011 “Relay for Life” here.
As of the end of June, the American Cancer Society was showing that the Switzerland County event had so far raised $55,565.90 – which is nearly $10,000 more than the $48,000 goal that was set before the Relay was held.
Donations are still being accepted, and any donations made before August 31st will be counted in this year’s totals.
