The Switzerland County and Ohio County tourism offices have announced the dates for next year’s “Creative Spaces Rural Places Studio Art Tour” weekend.
The free event will take place April 24th-25th, 2010 throughout galleries, studios, and businesses located across both Indiana counties.
Nearly 40 artists are scheduled to appear at approximately 25 locations during the event. Sculpture, paint, glass, fiber, steel, wood, and photography are a few of the mediums that will be represented.
“The collaboration of the two counties during this event exposes the public to a wide array of talent in our area,” said Kendal Miller, public relations spokesperson for Switzerland County Tourism. “This art tour is full of wonderful opportunities to familiarize locals and tourists with not only Switzerland and Ohio Counties, but to meet and converse with its artists in their personal and professional environments.”
The tour is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday; and is open to the public.

Several months in the making, the new site displays artists’ videos and a directory, a tour map of both counties, and an e-brochure for downloads. Tour package information is also forthcoming.
