The eighth grade girls basketball team picked up three big wins recently.

First came a home victory over Rising Sun on 8th Grade Night, as the Lady Pacers defeated the Lady Shiners by a score of 34-16.

Aleiah Thomas and Jacey Peelman led the way for Switzerland County with seven points each; while Jaelyn Hemingway and Mikailah Peterson had six points each. Josie Meyer had four points; McKenli Scudder added two points; and Kasey Hardin contributed one point.

Next came a big road win over South Dearborn by a score of 33-27.

Thomas had an outstanding night, finishing with 18 points; while Kora Ferguson and Hemingway each had four. Peelman had three points; and Scudder and Hardin added two each.

The third win on the streak came in a road game against Rising Sun, 35-13.

Peelman led the way in the victory with 10 points; with Thomas adding seven and Scudder contributing five. Hardin had four points; Ferguson had three; while Meyer, Peterson, and Hemingway each chipped in two.

The team now has an overall record of 10-6.
