Filing deadline for Primary Election is Friday at noon in the clerk's office
The deadline to file for this year's primary election is tomorrow (Friday, February 9th), at noon; and as the deadline nears, more and more candidates are filing for various offices.

The deadline to file for this May's primary election has come and gone, and as candidates begin to meet with potential voters, there are also several positions that each political party will look to fill after the primary election is over.

Ash Wednesday this year falls on Valentine's Day (February 14th); and Easter will fall on April Fool's Day (April 1st). Ash Wednesday services will therefore be held at 4 p.m. at the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay on February 14th. Stations of the Cross will follow the 5:30 p.m. rosary each Friday from February 16th to March 23rd. There will be no Saturday mass on March 31st in Vevay. The Mass schedule for Easter has not yet been finalized.
